| GE LM2500 GAS TURBINE The LM2500 CTG is a dual fuel, water injected (NOx) General Electric gas turbine packaged by Stewart & Stevenson. The CTG is designed to generate 3 phase, 60 Hz power at 13.8 kV at ambient temperatures 0-90 F. The unit has a nominal power output of 22 MW. The CTG is designed to operate on natural gas or No. 2 fuel oil. Water injection is utilized to reduce exhaust emissions of nitrogen oxides to 60 ppmvd (15% O2) for natural gas and 84 ppmvd for No. 2 fuel oil. The CTG control system is designed to interface with the facility Bailey Infi-90 DCS. The LM2500 CTG system consists of the combustion turbine, the generator and the following subsystems: AC Generator Turbine Lube Oil System Turbine Hydraulic System Generator Lube Oil System Dual-Fuel Water Injection System Exhaust Collector Drain System Combustion and Ventilation Air Filtration Hydraulic Start System Turbine Water Wash System Fire & Gas Protection System Electronic Control System Generator Excitation System Vibration Monitoring System The CTG package consists of a main skid which houses the combustion turbine generator set with on-board support subsystems. The main CTG skid contains the combustion turbine generator set and the support subsystems for combustion and ventilation air filtration, fuel and lubricating oil supply, fire protection, vibration monitoring, turbine water wash, and turbine exhaust emission control. The entire skid is enclosed in an acoustical enclosure for noise abatement. Auxiliary skids are included for off-line water washing, liquid fuel supply, lube oil cooling and hydraulic engine starting. An operator control panel, a motor control center, protective relays and a 24-volt battery system are provided as off-skid items. The combustion and ventilation air filtration system is a modular air filter assembly consisting of two filter modules containing trash screen, anti-icing coils, prefilters, evaporative coolers, drift eliminator panels and high efficiency barrier filters. The filter modules supply conditioned air to a common plenum, which then passes thru a silencer to the turbine bellmouth, turbine compartment and generator compartment. The TCP consists of five off-skid cubicles performing the functions of generator metering (Woodward DSM Synchronizer), excitation, turbine control, status monitoring, and electronic control. |
